Inova Neurology is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 for a full-time day position, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, in Northern Virginia. Inova Health System is a leading nonprofit provider known for safety, quality and patient experience.

Minimum qualifications include a Vocational/Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing, Virginia LPN license, and 2 years of hospital/clinic nursing experience with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BLS certification recognized (American Heart Association).
• Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia with 2 years hospital/clinic experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates referrals for patient chronic care conditions and follow up as indicated by care plan.
• Administers prescribed oral and intramuscular medications, therapies and treatments under physician supervision.
• Communicates with healthcare team, patients and families; supports team goals and delegates tasks to care assistants.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and orders; documents care activities per standards and legal requirements.

Inova Neurology is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 to join the team. This role will be full time day position, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinates referrals for patient chronic care conditions and follow up care as indicated by the initial care plan of the specialist and/or primary care physician.
• Administers prescribed oral and intramuscular medications, therapies and treatments following practical nursing standards and under the direct supervision of the physician.
• Effectively communicates with healthcare team members, patients and families; Supports healthcare team members to achieve team goals and assigns appropriate tasks to care assistants.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders; Documents all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards and legal requirements for medical facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:Vocational / TechnicalDiploma in Practical Nursing
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience: 2 years of nursing practice in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association
