Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a locum tenens physician for an outpatient internal medicine clinic in Tucson, AZ. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm with no weekends or on-call duties. Expect 18–20 scheduled clinic patients per day, with a 75% adult and 25% geriatric mix.

Coverage is due to two PCP resignations, with ~2,200 patients displaced. EMR is Cerner; BLS/ACLS certification required. Includes paid malpractice, and prepaid travel and housing expenses; assignments managed through an online

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Chronic disease management in outpatient setting and wellness visits.
• No hospital rounds; outpatient internal medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chronic disease management and acute care in an outpatient clinic.
• Conduct wellness visits and preventive care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Coordinate patient care using Cerner EMR and follow clinic protocols.
