Job summary

MPF Federal, LLC is seeking an Internal Medicine physician to provide outpatient care at WHASC, JBSA-Lackland. The physician will deliver adult primary care with focus on readiness, access to care, quality and training initiatives, onsite at the Medical Treatment Facility.

Responsibilities include acute and chronic disease management, preventive care, and coordination of care with the clinic team. Flexible hours include 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an internship and Internal Medicine residency approved by ACGME or the AOA.
• At least one year of supervised clinical experience providing direct patient care.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or eligible to test for ABIM.
• Current, full, active license to practice medicine and privileging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal medicine care for adult patients ages 18 and older with acute and chronic conditions.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and prescribe appropriate courses of treatment within scope of training and privileges.
• Provide preventive care and health maintenance, including annual physicals, counseling, and patient education.
• Manage comprehensive patient care including post-discharge follow-up, urgent/acute needs, chronic disease management, and medication management.
