Job description

-Elevate outpatient infusion services through rigorous sterile IV medication preparation, hands-on pharmacy operations management, and patient-centered infusion care-while driving medication safety and quality oversight through true multidisciplinary collaboration. Step into visible leadership where your influence is immediate, measurable, and valued.

Join the healthcare organization for a practice environment that respects experienced leaders and moves obstacles out of your way. Expect strong leadership support, stable staffing, and a culture that pairs clinician autonomy with practical resources. Onboarding is structured and swift, with access to decision-makers, analytics, and clinical partners who lean in. The organization prizes mature judgment, transparent communication, and long-term growth opportunities tailored to high-performing pharmacy managers.

The Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy anchors Ambulatory Infusion, Infusion Services, IV Therapy, Specialty Pharmacy, Oncology Infusion, Sterile Compounding, and coordinated Home Infusion transitions. You’ll have operational ownership of daily workflow-from order verification and scheduling to inventory stewardship and cleanroom standards - backed by pharmacist and technician team leadership. Collaborate closely with infusion nurses and physicians to streamline protocols, reduce variation, and advance medication safety and quality oversight. This role is built for a leader who enjoys at-the-elbow coaching, rapid-cycle quality improvement, and a patient care environment designed for efficiency without sacrificing empathy.

Reporting to senior pharmacy leadership with ready access to executive sponsors, the Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy Manager partners with nursing leaders, oncologists, advanced practice providers, and ancillary departments such as quality, infection prevention, and supply chain. Expect meaningful operational ownership across policy, competencies, staffing models, and service-level performance. You will set priorities for pharmacist and technician development, steward budgets and productivity, guide sterile IV medication preparation practices, and influence organizational goals through data-driven performance and strong physician relationships. As the Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy Manager, your voice carries weight.

Life in Northern California’s Sacramento Valley offers four-season outdoor recreation, from river trails and foothill hikes to weekend escapes to the coast or Sierra. Enjoy a renowned farm-to-fork dining scene, vibrant arts and festivals, family-friendly neighborhoods, respected schools, and commutes that rival the best in the state. Housing options range from historic districts to new builds, all under a sunny, temperate climate that keeps you outside-and active-year-round.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, supported by a comprehensive benefits package that typically includes medical, dental, vision, retirement with employer contributions, generous paid time off, holidays, continuing education support, and leadership development resources. The targeted compensation range will be discussed confidentially with qualified candidates.
