Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Outpatient Hematology Lead Physician Assistant to join the Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center. The role centers on leadership of nine outpatient Hematology APPs, collaboration with six Hematologists, and 100% outpatient care within a nationally recognized cancer program.

The PA must hold Illinois licensure (or be eligible), have completed an accredited PA program, and maintain NCCPA certification, CPR, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

  • 90% clinical, 10% administrative.

Department/division specs:
  • Nine outpatient Hematology APP direct reports

  • Work alongside six Hematologists

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monday-Friday

  • Four, 10-hour shifts/week

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of Physician Assistantexperience in Hematology or other cancer-related specialty.

Position Requirements:

Physician Assistant:

The Physician Assistant (PA) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $151,000 - $202,000
