Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Outpatient Hematology Lead Physician Assistant to join the Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center. The role centers on leadership of nine outpatient Hematology APPs, collaboration with six Hematologists, and 100% outpatient care within a nationally recognized cancer program.

The PA must hold Illinois licensure (or be eligible), have completed an accredited PA program, and maintain NCCPA certification, CPR, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Illinois or eligibility via IDFPR.
• Graduated from an accredited PA/Assistant program.
• NCCPA certification current.
• CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications held.

Responsibilities

• 90% clinical, 10% administrative.
• Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday-Friday.
• 100% outpatient.
• Report directly to the Cancer Service Line APP Manager.
• Oversee nine outpatient Hematology APP direct reports; collaborate with six Hematologists.

Education

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of Physician Assistantexperience in Hematology or other cancer-related specialty.

The Physician Assistant (PA) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $151,000 - $202,000
