Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
• BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date.
• Heart Failure Training and Education must be completed within six months of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a professional patient centered practice image by efficiently performing a wide variety of clinical and/or administrative duties to medical office outpatients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or licensed mid-level provider.
• Assists the physician or mid-level provider with outcome based patient care as part of a team.
• Educates patients and families regarding heart failure pathology, treatments, medications, and lifestyle changes while living with heart failure.
• Able to explain test results and disease-specific information in layman terms for easy patient understanding.
