Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Director, the Outpatient Group Therapist is responsible for providing counseling services to patients in outpatient programming. The Outpatient Therapist will provide group counseling to patients using clinically appropriate modalities such as cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy. The Outpatient Therapist will be responsible for completing intake assessments, must have the ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families, and provide appropriate crisis intervention as necessary by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors. The Outpatient Therapist will coordinate discharge planning with patients in outpatient programming.
The Outpatient Therapist will provide continuum of care groups on the Inpatient Acute units to educate patients about services and resources available post-discharge. The Outpatient Therapist will at times be expected to assist with providing services to Inpatient Acute patients when the need arises with the clinical team. The Outpatient Therapist should be familiar with and demonstrate consistent compliance with CMS and JCAHO requirements for clinical documentation.
