Job summary

Center For Discovery in Irvine, CA is seeking a part-time Group Facilitator to lead groups at the PHP & IOP level of care. You will de-escalate crises when needed and communicate updates to the treatment team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree (masters in progress preferred), understands confidentiality and ethics, and is prepared to document all services in the medical record. Schedule is Mon, Wed, Thu 10:30-7pm; onsite work with hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; may be working toward a Masters.
• Understand the therapeutic process and confidentiality laws.
• Knowledge of ethics and Joint Commission standards.
• Must submit to post offer medical exam and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates groups, workshops, and educational sessions as scheduled.
• Completes group notes immediately after each session.
• Documents all services in patients' medical records.
• Assesses suicidality and potential danger to self or others.
• Delivers psychoeducation to patients as needed.
• May travel to other facilities for trainings.
