Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing required, or new graduate eligible to sit for Virginia licensure.
• One year of physician office experience preferred.
• Current Virginia LPN licensure; Radiologic Technician Limited license if performing radiology; BLS-HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care for patients of all ages.
• Completes patient assessment including vital signs and current medications.
• Prepares patient for provider evaluation and assists during exams.
• Coordinates tele-retinal and tele-dermatology clinic setup.
• Administers medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Maintains exam, treatment and x-ray rooms; restocks supplies and sterilizes equipment.
• Documents patient information in EMR promptly and accurately.
• Supports referral authorizations and pre-authorizations for testing.
• Assists with lab procedures including specimen collection and processing.
• Performs radiology tasks if licensed and trained.
