Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Surgery Clinic to provide professional nursing care in an outpatient setting. You will perform comprehensive assessments, educate patients, coordinate pre- and post-operative care, and collaborate with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient care.

The role requires ND or compact RN licensure, CPR certification, and orientation-based certifications. BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in ND or compact required or temporary
• CPR within orientation period
• Point of Care certifications as required within orientation
• BSN preferred but not required depending on facility needs

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and direct patient care in the general surgery clinic.
• Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative care with education and follow-up
• Assist providers with procedures and examinations per protocols
• Document assessments and interventions in the EHR accurately and timely
• Draw, process, and package laboratory specimens as needed
• Support efficient patient flow and continuity of care in the clinic environment
