Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide patient care under a supervising physician across inpatient, surgical, and/or outpatient settings. The role involves diagnosis, ordering tests, and clinical decision-making within NYS scope of practice, with collaborative care and emphasis on patient safety and quality.

New graduates from an accredited PA program or clinicians with 0-2 years of experience are welcomed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in clinical specialty of hire and/or new graduate from accredited P.A. Program.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient care with supervision and plans treatment with the medical team.
• Writes timely patient records including orders, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with medical teams and staff.
• Provides consultation to nursing and ancillary teams on patient condition and care plan.
• Collaborates with supervising physicians and care teams to ensure patient safety and quality.
• Performs delegated clinical duties within the scope of practice.
