UAB School of Medicine - Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Faculty position: Non-tenured assistant professor clinical position located at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL.
The UAB Department of Gastroenterology is recruiting gastroenterologists to join a community based UAB Gastroenterology practice located at the UAB Medicine Multispecialty Clinic at Baptist Medical Center South, a UAB Medicine affiliate hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. These are non-academic, 100% clinical based positions that will provide community based outpatient gastroenterology services and procedures. There is also opportunity to participate in the teaching responsibilities of third and fourth year medical students at the UAB School of Medicine regional campus and participate in the UAB Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology faculty meetings, clinical trials and educational offerings.
The community hospital, Baptist Medical Center South provides support for the UAB Gastroenterology program including a fully staffed outpatient clinic, mid-level providers, experienced clinic, procedural and hospital RNs as well as a dedicated gastroenterology suite for procedures.
Candidates must be board certified or board eligible with solid training and ability to receive licensure and credentialing in the State of Alabama. Will consider experienced gastroenterologists and new graduates. ERCP/EUS advanced skill set a plus but not required.
