Job summary

Sky Lakes Medical Center in Oregon is seeking an Outpatient Dietitian for a full-time daytime schedule. The successful candidate will provide nutrition assessments, counseling, and medical nutrition therapy in outpatient clinics, focusing on diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and related conditions.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document in the EMR, and deliver education sessions, in person or via telehealth, to support patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RD with Oregon licensure required.

• Two years’ experience in acute or ambulatory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nutrition assessments, counseling, and medical nutrition therapy to patients across the lifespan in primary care clinics.
• Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition care plans for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and more.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated, whole-person care.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions in the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with clinic policies and professional standards.
• Participate in case reviews, care team huddles, and health promotion initiatives.
• Deliver nutrition education sessions individually or in group settings, both in-person and via telehealth.
• Contribute to the development of nutrition-related programs and resources tailored to the clinic population.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current nutrition guidelines and evidence-based practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Registered Dietitian (RD) with current Oregon licensure. Must demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and strong problem-solving skills. Self-starter able to work independently and manage patients in diverse outpatient settings. Requires ability to communicate effectively and concisely with a multidisciplinary team to support coordinated, patient-centered care.

Preferred: Two years’ experience in acute or ambulatory setting.

Cert: CDR, Oregon licensed Dietitian
