Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Professional Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 designation. You will implement and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians within the ESKD care team.

You will participate in education, leadership, and quality improvement activities, while delivering dialysis therapy and ensuring patient safety in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision from the Supervisor and Educator.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis.
• Educates patients and families about care plans.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with team support.
• Administers prescribed medications or per protocol and documents outcomes.
• Responds to emergencies and supports staff training.
• Ensures proper lab collection and processing; coordinates reschedules.
• Updates nursing assessments and care plans with the Interdisciplinary Team.
