Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an LPN to provide direct patient care in a dialysis setting, performing prescribed dialysis procedures, monitoring treatments, and reporting patient changes. The role requires CPR certification and completion of dialysis training.

You will educate patients and families about dialysis, participate in emergency procedures, and support coverage across area facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• ICU experience preferred but not required.
• Complete training in hemodialysis theory and practice.
• CPR certification required.
• Complete Nurses Technical Training Program on hire or soon after.
• Be able to cover area facilities during short-staffing.
• Ishihara color test requirements for employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients.
• Perform all dialysis procedures as prescribed.
• Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters.
• Report significant changes to the supervisor.
• Educate patient and family about dialysis and medications.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with CPR as needed.
