Job summary

Texas Children's Clinic seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to manage daily care coordination for patients in the Outpatient Diabetes Clinic. You will provide direct and telephone nursing care, health teaching, and patient advocacy in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Role includes supervising staff, coordinating visits with imaging and subspecialists, ensuring staffing needs, and educating patients by phone, with developmentally appropriate care and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related pathway with BSN enrollment or agreement; RN license or pursuing MSN with BSN equivalence.
• RN License by Texas Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• 3 years’ or more experience in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily care coordination within area of subspecialty.
• Provides education concerning various aspects of care.
• Coordinates nursing care across departments and subspecialties with teamwork and communication.
• Coordinates initial education of patients by phone.
• Coordinates visits with imaging department and appropriate subspecialists.
• Ensures staffing needs are met.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nursing/BSN/bridge program enrollment

RN License by Texas Board of Nursing

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

3+ years nursing experience
