Job summary

Behavioral Human Services in Milwaukee, WI, is hiring a Registered Nurse Clinician for the Outpatient Access Clinic. You will conduct psychiatric and medical assessments, provide crisis stabilization, and connect patients to appropriate resources including hospitalization when necessary.

Requires BSN and Wisconsin RN license with at least 3 years of crisis intervention experience. Expect collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• BSN from an accredited program.
• Wisconsin RN license without restriction at time of application.
• At least three (3) years of crisis intervention experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psycho-social and health assessments of adults (18+) with mental health and co-occurring needs.
• Intervene to de-escalate crises and provide stabilization; administer long-acting injectables as needed.
• Reduce danger to self or others and connect to immediate services and therapeutic supports.
• Implement care plans with crisis-focused psychotherapies and ensure follow-up on interventions.
• Collaborate with CARS, Wraparound Milwaukee, hospitals, law enforcement and other professionals; engage community in crisis management.
• Provide basic life support and medical interventions as needed; support Milwaukee Mobile Crisis.
