Job summary

Serenity Lane is hiring an Outpatient Counselor to facilitate group and individual treatment. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and maintain detailed documentation in a supportive environment.

The role requires CADC-R or higher credentials or equivalent, at least 1 year in substance use treatment, and experience with EHRs. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential to help clients achieve recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Must have CADC-R or higher certification/education hours and 600 hours supervision
• At least 1 year of experience in substance use disorder treatment preferred
• Familiarity with ASAM criteria, OARs, CARF standards preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams recommended
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills required
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Background check and drug screen required (THC-free workplace)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group therapy sessions (IOP, OP-Level 1, DUII, telehealth) and conduct ASAM assessments
• Create and maintain individualized treatment plans and support DUII/Diversion patients
• Collect and document urine drug screens in compliance with standards
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with policies
• Engage patients via outreach and communicate updates with the clinical team
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training, uphold clinic protocols
• Supervise Counselor-in-Training or Practicum Students (if applicable)
