What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate audits of the quality and completeness of medical record documentation for outpatient encounters
- Utilize coding expertise to abstract information from electronic health records for education and performance metrics
- Evaluate medical records through concurrent, prospective, and retrospective methods
- Support the Documentation & Coding Provider Education Program and related revenue cycle initiatives
- Collaborate with OP Audit Analysts and Coordinators to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years coding experience required
- Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle position required
- Must have thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, medical terminology, and coding systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills required

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional specialty coding certification or 5-7 years of coding experience preferred
- One to two (1-2) years of college or additional coursework in Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or Medical Record Sciences preferred
- Specialty coding experience preferred
