Talentify seeks an Outpatient ED Coder to accurately assign ICD and CPT/HCPCS codes for outpatient and emergency department records, ensuring proper sequencing and coding compliance. The role requires a coding program completion with AHIMA/AAPC status and 3+ years of acute hospital coding experience.

You will use computerized encoding systems, collaborate with medical staff to obtain documentation, and ensure data integrity for billing. High accuracy and productivity are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved coding program with AHIMA or AAPC status.
• 3+ years recent experience coding in an acute hospital setting.
• Certification: CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA, or RHIT or AHIMA/AAPC equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Code diagnostic and procedural information using ICD and CPT/HCPCS.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures per guidelines and data sets.
• Abstract medical data to complete discharge abstracts and billing data.
• Enter patient information into inpatient/outpatient medical records databases.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards (96%+).
