Position: Outpatient Coder

We are seeking experienced outpatient coders to join our team remotely with a flexible schedule. Ideal candidates have high attention to detail and strong medical terminology knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience at an Academic Level Facility
• Experience with EPIC and 3M360 is a plus
• Extensive injection and infusion experience for Observation coding
• Experience in Interventional radiology (SDS)

Responsibilities

1. Review medical records and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
2. Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
3. Determine discharge disposition.
4. Abstract and enter coded data for hospital reporting.
5. Communicate documentation issues to relevant personnel.
6. Maintain a 95% accuracy rate in coding and APC assignment.
7. Track continuing education credits.
8. Attend sponsored education sessions.
9. Exercise judgment and initiative in job tasks.
10. Communicate effectively with team and hospital staff.
11. Adhere to ethical standards and policies.

Additional Details
