Job summary

Eskenazi Health, the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County, seeks a Qualifying Staff Pharmacist-Outpatient. The role includes legal and clinical responsibilities, prescription reviews, final product verification, and patient education.

You will supervise technicians to ensure safety, efficiency and productivity, provide vaccine administration, anticoagulant monitoring, and education on medications. Indiana licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
Indiana Pharmacist Licensure required.
Immunization Delivery certificate within first year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Assumes legal and functional responsibility for all activities in the assigned pharmacy and appears on the license as qualifying pharmacist.
Clinically reviews prescriptions by analyzing patient records and communicates clinical concerns.
Provides patient counseling on new prescriptions and ensures refill counseling is offered.
Reviews non-formulary orders and educates prescribers on formulary options.
Supervises technicians to maximize safety, efficiency and productivity.
Maintains regulatory readiness and compliance with laws and policies.
Manages inventory, cash handling and pharmacy operations within Epic system.
