The University of Chicago is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Outpatient Chest Oncology program within the Hematology/Oncology Section of the Department of Medicine. You will provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with lung cancer, thymomas and mesothelioma, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.

The role requires Illinois licensure, 2+ years of related experience, and the ability to coordinate tests, follow-ups, and longitudinal care.

Formación

• Minimum a college or university degree from an accredited school/college.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a related discipline.
• Current and/or eligible for State of Illinois licensure/registration.
• Preferred: apply for mid-level practitioner controlled substance license and DEA number.

Responsabilidades

• Provides comprehensive outpatient care for Chest Oncology patients including assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Documents history and physical examinations and management changes per guidelines.
• Coordinates diagnostic tests and follow-ups for lung cancer, thymomas, and mesothelioma.
• Staffs clinics, participates in multidisciplinary conferences and research meetings.
• Performs chart reviews, prescription refills, and responds to patient inquiries.
• Keeps abreast of updates in hematology/oncology and evaluates patient outcomes for safety and cost-effectiveness.
