As an Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant, you will support patients and caregivers in a fast-paced outpatient setting, performing health screenings, collecting specimens, updating records, and maintaining exam rooms. Responsibilities include rooming, vitals, specimen collection, EKGs, and administering treatments under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of human anatomy and basic patient care activities.
• Basic math skills for care activities and documentation.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross within new-hire period.
• One year of healthcare experience OR additional formal training/education.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care in outpatient clinic under RN or LIP supervision.
• Complete rooming with vitals, intake questions, and report abnormal findings.
• Collect specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and prepare for lab transport.
• Prepare patients for exams, tests, and procedures (EKG, pulse oximetry, etc.).
• Assist with treatments, wound care, and dressing changes as directed.
• Document in the electronic health record and assist with clinic setup/closure.
• Stock supplies, monitor equipment, and enforce safety procedures.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures when required.
