Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina’s MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our outpatient Cardiology team. The APP will deliver quality patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and evaluate new and established cardiology patients in the clinic.

Required credentials include an accredited PA or NP program and current licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible.
• BLS, ACLS, DHEC and DEA certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years cardiology experience as an APP.

Responsibilities

• Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations.
• Evaluates and treats based on exam, tests and guidelines.
• Initiates referrals and collaborates with physicians.
• Documents and bills for direct care provided.
• Uses evidence-based decision-making in clinical practice.
• Participates in quality improvement and accreditation activities.
• Precepts students and supports learning of new staff.
