Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Electrophysiology team at MUSC Health Heart & Vascular in Columbia, SC. The APP will diagnose, treat, and manage rhythm disorders across outpatient, inpatient, and procedural settings, working with EPs, cardiologists, and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, pre/post-procedure care for EP studies and device implantations, and ongoing follow-up of arrhythmias, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• APNP or PA with cardiology experience; EP experience preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS required for adult inpatient positions.
• DHEC and DEA license applications must be started prior to first day.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and EP disorders in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, obtain histories, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-ups for electrophysiology patients.
• Manage atrial fibrillation, SVT, ventricular arrhythmias, syncope, and other rhythm disorders.
• Provide pre/post-procedure evaluations for EP studies, ablations, and device implantations.
• Interpret ambulatory monitoring data (Holter, event monitors, mobile telemetry).
• Coordinate pacemaker/ICD/CRT device management with the cardiovascular team.
• Complete documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure billing compliance.
