Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is seeking an entry-level sonography professional to grow into a professional career within our diagnostic imaging team. You will perform routine ultrasound exams, utilizing ultrasonic equipment to examine tissues and body structures in adult and pediatric patients with supervision.

The role emphasizes developing competence through structured assignments, delivering safe patient care, and coordinating tests under the direction of the radiology team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and graduation from an accredited sonography program.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred 1 year of relevant sonography experience.
• Credentials must be applicable to the work performed in the department (RDCS/ AE/ PE/ FE/ RVT/ RCS/ RCCS/ RVS).

Responsibilities

• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment on patients to examine tissue and body structures.
• Performs a variety of diagnostic sonographic examinations on adult and/or pediatric patients.
• Develops competence by performing structured work assignments under supervision.
• Schedules and coordinates tests.
• Prepares and maintains operational logs and records test results for referring physicians.
• Ensures patient care and safety during ultrasound procedures.
