Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for outpatient cardiac surgery coverage in New Jersey. The role supports a locum tenens need with a Monday–Friday schedule, four 10-hour shifts, and EPIC EMR integration.

The candidate will manage preoperative and postoperative cardiac surgery patients, perform minor post-op procedures, and coordinate care with the surgical team. Licensing and BLS are required to practice in NJ.

Qualifications

• Active NJ Medical License required.
• New Jersey DEA license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Cardiology outpatient NP/PA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for preoperative and postoperative cardiac surgery patients.
• Perform minor post-op procedures (wound debridement, packing).
• Provide outpatient cardiology care within the EPIC-based system.
