Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA seeks an Outpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager to lead APPs in outpatient clinics and provide direct patient care. This working manager role combines leadership duties with active clinical work at urgent care locations.

The position requires NP licensure in California, NP certification, and extensive ambulatory NP experience. DEA and nursing credentials are also required, with strong teamwork and communication essential.

Qualifications

• CA Nurse Practitioner license and NP furnishing number; DEA registration.
• CA RN license and BLS certification.
• NP certification by a national board; Master’s or Doctor of Nursing Practice required.
• Medicare billing privileges as an NP prior to specified dates are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead APP recruitment, interviews, training, onboarding and development.
• Advocate for APPs with clinic leadership and ensure regulatory standards.
• Coordinate scheduling to balance clinic coverage across locations.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify care improvements and best practices.
• Perform APP performance reviews integrating clinical and administrative feedback.
