Zusammenfassung

The Medical University of South Carolina Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences seeks a licensed therapist for the Addiction Sciences Division outpatient clinic. The therapist will provide individual and group therapy to individuals with addiction-related and other psychiatric illnesses and their families.

The position supports LISW/LPC/LMFT credentials, with preference for MSW, Counseling, or MFT degrees.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a CSWE-accredited bachelor’s degree in social work or social welfare.
• Preferred LISW: MSW from CSWE-accredited program; LPC: Master’s in Counseling; LMFT: Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Aufgaben

• Interview clients and/or families to assess diagnosis, coping strategies and mental status; develop and discuss treatment plans and rationale; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Ensure agency procedures and clinical standards for treatment planning, case management, group and psycho-educational activities, discharge planning and referrals are met.
• Plan, implement and coordinate all treatment services; collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure positive client outcomes; take guidance from team supervisors.
• Conduct community planning, needs assessment and evaluations affecting social functioning.
