Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Possession of full certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in Delaware.
• Full certification in addictions counseling or co-occurring counseling from a recognized certifying body.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in substance abuse treatment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' mental and physical health, addiction, and behavioral concerns to assess treatment readiness.
• Collaborate with clients to establish treatment goals and develop individualized plans.
• Provide education and counseling for clients and their families about addiction and co-occurring disorders.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Help clients develop adaptive behaviors and coping strategies to support recovery.
• Identify barriers to recovery and develop strategies to overcome them.
• Conduct outreach programs to educate the community on addiction and prevention strategies.
