Job summary

Wellstone Regional Hospital, a 100-bed acute care facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana, is seeking an Outpatient Patient Access and Admissions Coordinator. This role provides administrative support for the IOP, handles clerical duties, and coordinates medical staff activities.

The position is hourly, non-exempt, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours per week. Requirements include HS or equivalent; an Associate's Degree is preferred with 1–3 years of experience (3–5 preferred).

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: HS required; Associate's Degree preferred with 1-3 years experience, 3-5 preferred.
• Specialized Skills: Knowledge in IOP procedures, JCAHO, policies and procedures, scheduling patients, prioritizing workloads.
• Equipment used: Computer and software programs, fax machine, copy machine, telephone and paging system, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Software systems for managing patient records, billing and compliance.
• This position as with other patient care positions requires physical mangement training and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the IOP and patient access.
• Perform clerical duties and attend departmental/clinical meetings.
• Coordinate medical staff activities and maintain staff files/records.
• Provide support relating to personnel matters as required.
• This is an hourly, non-exempt position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
