Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking an Outlet Retail Associate for the Seattle Goodwill Outlet. You will deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and handle cashiering and POS transactions in a professional manner. No prior experience is required; some retail experience is helpful.

You must read and speak basic English, perform simple math, and work well with a diverse team. The job involves lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for long periods, and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist in tipping of product to bin tables and participate in floor change outs of bin tables.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Support team members, assist supervisors as necessary.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

About The Position

The Outlet Retail Associate provides excellent customer service by customer engagement, suggestion selling and cashiering in a friendly and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

• Proactively acknowledge, greet and help customers in any area of the store. Assist customers/donors in a timely and courteous manner by answering questions or directing them to a supervisor.
• Perform accurate Point of Sale (POS) and cash handling, checks, and credit card procedures. Responsible for closing out assigned cash drawer and balancing the till at end of shift.
• Merchandise, restock and provide general floor maintenance where needed.
• Assist in tipping of product to bin tables and participate in floor change outs of bin tables.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Support team members, assist supervisors as necessary.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
