Southern Oregon Goodwill Industries is seeking an Outlet Retail Associate in Medford, OR. This role oversees daily store operations, drives sales, and leads a team focused on excellence and growth within a community-focused mission.

Qualifications

• Speak and understand English well enough to read materials, communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Experience in retail or similar environments preferred.
• Previous warehouse or comparable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the electronic cash register and process cash, card, and voucher transactions.
• Prepare cash drawers and related paperwork.
• Receive, prepare, sort, price, and rotate stock for the retail floor.
• Operate department equipment and machinery and prepare goods for sale or storage.
• Assist GoodWorks staff with implementation of work plans and guidelines as established for client programs, as assigned by store manager.

What You’ll Do

As an Outlet Retail Associate, you’ll oversee daily store operations, drive sales, and lead a team committed to excellence. You’ll play a key role in supporting our mission to enable employment by providing opportunities for personal and professional growth, while committing to sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Operates electronic cash register, handles cash, charge, and check/voucher transactions.
• Prepares cash drawers and related paperwork as assigned.
• Receives, prepares, sorts, prices, and rotates stock for retail floor and conducts quality control.
• Operates department equipment and machinery, prepares goods for sale, procession, or storage.
• Performs inventories, tallies, or other forms of tracking as required for the retail environment.
• Assists GoodWorks staff with implementation of work plans and guidelines as established for client programs, as assigned by store manager.

Education and Experience

• While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Frequently required to walk and/or stands for up to 8 hours per day.
• Must regularly lift, carry, and/or move up to 20 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to push/pull and carry up to 30 pounds. Kneels, stoops, and bends frequently.
• Occasional need to push heavy, wheeled carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and other material handling equipment with loads weighing up to 250 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• Work is performed primarily indoors in a climate-controlled space. May occasionally perform work in outside weather conditions.
