Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking an energetic Outlet Processor at the Mills Outlet Center. The role supports our mission and ensures donations are handled safely, sorted, and prepared for online sales while providing friendly service to customers and donors.

Requires strong communication, organization, and basic math. No degree is required; attractive benefits and flexible schedules are offered to eligible full-time employees.

Responsibilities

• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Tips donations into bins and sorts goods into categories.
• Inspects donated goods and removes potentially harmful items for safety and high-quality items for online sales.
• Maintains high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Efficiently transports bins to and from the sales floor.
• Keeps store, warehouse, and donation dock clean and organized per procedures.
• Provides positive customer service interactions in person or by phone.
• Reads and follows all procedures and policies.
• Maintains a professional appearance and dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets and reports incidents of theft.
• Adheres to all policies and safety regulations.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Tips donations into bins and sorts goods into categories
• Inspects donated goods and remove potentially harmful items for safety and high-quality items for online sales.
• Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Efficiently and safely transports bins to and from the sales floor.
• Straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the store, including the sales floor, warehouse, and donation dock, efficiently to adhere to Goodwill Retail Procedures.
• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assistance, and thanks, to in-person customers, donors, and those over the phone.
• Reads and follows all operational procedures and agency employee handbook policies
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft.
• Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
