Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic Outlet Processor for the Mills Outlet Center in Bridgeton, MO. The role involves handling donations, sorting goods, ensuring safety, and assisting customers while upholding our mission to Changing Lives Through the Power of Work.

This full-time, hourly position offers an hourly rate of $15.50 with a monthly bonus up to $250. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, 403(b)/401(a) retirement options, PTO, holidays, and flexible

Qualifications

• No degree is required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Mathematical skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donations into bins and categories.
• Inspect donated goods and remove potentially harmful items for safety and high-quality items for online sales.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Transport bins to and from the sales floor safely.
• Keep store, warehouse, and donation dock clean per procedures.
• Provide positive customer service interactions with in-person customers, donors and phone inquiries.
• Follow operational procedures and employee handbook policies.
• Adhere to dress code and safeguard agency assets.
• Report theft or unauthorized possession of assets.
• Follow all policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Tips donations into bins and sorts goods into categories
• Inspects donated goods and remove potentially harmful items for safety and high-quality items for online sales.
• Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Efficiently and safely transports bins to and from the sales floor.
• Straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the store, including the sales floor, warehouse, and donation dock, efficiently to adhere to Goodwill Retail Procedures.
• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assistance, and thanks, to in-person customers, donors, and those over the phone.
• Reads and follows all operational procedures and agency employee handbook policies
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft.
• Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
