Job description

Provides superior guest service, positively affecting interactions with guests and employees. Demonstrates resiliency when dealing with difficult guests in various business conditions and works effectively and courteously with fellow employees.

  1. Manages the budget for assigned kitchens.
  2. Assists in maintaining and evaluating staffing levels daily to stay within budget.
  3. Participates in interviews, hiring, and employee evaluations.
  4. Has the authority to authorize and issue complimentary services to patrons in accordance with the approved Complimentary Matrix, part of internal control section 465a.7.
  5. Trains and manages staff to produce safe, high-quality food with appealing presentation that meets customer needs.
  6. Assists with purchasing specifications, storeroom systems, product storage, portion control, waste management, inventory, and ordering.
  7. Responsible for scheduling sous chefs, cooks, and stewards.
  8. Performs any other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  1. Minimum three years of experience as a Sous Chef with a four-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  2. Minimum two years of casino industry experience (preferred).
  3. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
  4. Must complete all required company training.
