Job summary

PACCAR Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Outerbody team to advance vehicle exteriors and structural concepts. You will apply Creo Parametric to develop parts and assemblies, and collaborate with Industrial Design and Styling groups to refine new or updated exteriors.

Responsibilities include design validation with FEA/CFD, design-for-Six-Sigma methods, and coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure robust, durable solutions while managing schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent engineering degree required; EIT certification is a plus.
• 1-3+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck design is a plus.
• 3D modeling experience with Creo Parametric; surfacing skills valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of structures-based projects in the Outerbody team.
• Create optimized part and assembly models using Creo Parametric.
• Validate designs via Finite Element Analysis, CFD, and durability tests.
• Work with PACCAR Center and external groups to validate designs.
