Job description

About The Ride Platform

The Ride Platform, Inc. is the parent company of Outdoorsy, Ride, Wheelbase, and Roamly. We’re named for the thing every part of our business runs on: the ride - the single transaction where an operator meets a renter. We’re the only company building end-to-end for the Operator Economy: the marketplaces to book (Outdoorsy, Ride), the enterprise SaaS to manage (Wheelbase), and the insurtech (Roamly) to protect the assets people turn into profitable businesses. We enable millions of people to explore the world while helping independent operators build generational wealth. Our mission is to build the essential infrastructure for the mobility economy.

About Outdoorsy Hill Country

Nestled on 34 sprawling acres in Stonewall, Texas - right along the famous Texas Wine Trail and just 20 minutes from historic Fredericksburg - Outdoorsy Hill Country is a premier 5-star luxury glamping retreat. Featuring 22 custom safari-style tents, an event barn, a full-service bar, Texas Longhorn, and a welcoming communal center, our property blends the romance of the outdoors with high-end hospitality.

Opened in April 2023, Outdoorsy Hill Country is part of the Outdoorsy Destination Network, joining sister properties in Bayfield, Colorado, and Bass Lake, California. Powered by a rapidly growing national brand, we give guests an unforgettable way to connect with nature without sacrificing comfort. We take immense pride in our grounds, our high-touch guest experience, and our deep roots in the vibrant Texas Hill Country community.

About The Role

As the Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Outdoorsy Hill Country, you are the chief champion of the guest journey and a key driver of property revenue. This role is a dynamic hybrid of High-End Hospitality Management, Event Sales, and Beverage Operations. Supporting the General Manager, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day guest experience while turning our 34-acre retreat into the premier destination for Texas Hill Country gatherings.

Please Note: Hospitality never sleeps! To deliver a 5-star experience during peak guest times, this role requires a flexible schedule, including regular evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts. This is a full-time role reporting directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
  1. Guest Experience Ownership
  • 5-Star Standard: Take ultimate ownership of the end-to-end guest journey, ensuring every visitor receives a seamless, memorable, and upscale “glamping” experience.
  • On-the-Floor Presence: Maintain a high-visibility presence across the property, actively greeting guests, anticipating needs, and resolving issues on the fly with empathy and professionalism.
  • Review & Reputation Management: Monitor guest feedback and reviews, implementing operational changes to continuously elevate satisfaction metrics and repeat bookings.
  1. Sales & Group Growth
  • Drive Bookings: Proactively identify and close leads for Weddings, Corporate Retreats, and Family Reunions. You will be the face of the property for prospective clients.
  • Site Tours: Conduct professional property walkthroughs of the Bluebonnet Event Barn and luxury tents, painting a vision for high-end, nature-focused events.
  • Revenue Management: Work to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets for group buyouts and event space rentals.
  1. Bar & Beverage Program (Sagebrush Bar)
  • Program Leadership: Oversee the Sagebrush Bar operations, ensuring a curated selection of local Hill Country wines, craft beers, and signature cocktails that reflect our brand.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to all TABC regulations. You will ensure all bar staff are certified and that service is handled responsibly and legally.
  • Inventory & Profitability: Manage beverage inventory, COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), and vendor relationships. Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze P&L statements for the beverage program, and implement cost‑saving measures without compromising guest experience.
  1. Day-to-Day Operations Oversight
  • Daily Property Rhythms: Serve as the Manager on Duty, leading daily huddles with front‑of‑house, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to ensure the property is visually stunning and operationally ready.
  • Labor & Scheduling: Manage weekly staff schedules and labor costs, optimizing coverage to balance daily check‑ins, steady‑state property needs, and high‑volume event weekends.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Continuously refine and enforce operational SOPs to maintain service consistency, from luxury tent turnover standards to opening/closing checklists.
  1. Food Safety & Operational Quality
  • Food Standards: Act as the primary Certified Food Protection Manager. You will ensure all food handling - whether for our boutique snacks or catered events - meets or exceeds Texas health department standards.
  • Staff Training: Oversee that all team members hold valid Food Handler certifications and are trained in upscale service etiquette.
  1. Event Execution
  • “Day-Of” Management: Serve as the lead point of contact for event planners and corporate leads, ensuring a seamless transition from “sales” to “execution”.

  • Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with preferred caterers, florists, and equipment rentals to ensure external partners respect the property and deliver 5-star service.

    Who You Are (Candidate Profile)

  • Required Experience: 4+ years in management with a heavy focus on daily operations, Food & Beverage, and event sales.

  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience in boutique hotels, luxury resorts, or high‑end hospitality environments is highly valued and considered a strong asset.

  • Certifications Required:

    • Current TABC Seller-Server Certification
    • Current Texas Food Manager Certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business and event needs.

  • Sales & Operational Acumen: Proven track record of hitting sales targets, managing an event lead pipeline, and running tight, efficient daily property operations.

  • Leadership: Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team across housekeeping, maintenance, and front‑of‑house.

  • Physical Comfort: Comfort working in an outdoor environment and the physical ability to navigate 30+ acres of terrain in various weather conditions.

  • The “Vibe”: You understand the Outdoorsy brand - you can talk soil and stargazing with a camper in the morning, manage staff labor metrics at noon, and discuss wine pairings and event contracts with a corporate CEO in the afternoon.

    Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary of $58,000 - $63,000 annually, DOE.

  • Growth Opportunity: Join a company in its early stages and help build its success from the ground up.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: 100% company-paid medical premiums for employees, 401(k) match, and Flexible PTO.
