The City of Goose Creek is seeking a Refuse Collector to join our Sanitation team. This outdoor role involves collecting residential waste, yard debris, and bulky items across the City, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You'll be part of a hard-working crew focused on keeping neighborhoods clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, with physical activity and community impact at the core of daily duties.

Formación

• Minimum age 17; high school diploma or equivalent or obtain within first year.
• Active, outdoors-oriented individual with dependability.
• Pride in workmanship and reliability.

Responsabilidades

• Collect household refuse and place materials into collection vehicles.
• Remove residential trash, yard debris, and other approved waste materials.
• Collect bulky items, including metal and white goods, from designated locations.
• Assist drivers with routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, including cleaning, pressure washing, and sanitizing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sanitation facilities, including the tool shed.
• Remove deceased animals from public areas as needed.
• Ensure roll carts are returned neatly and safely off the roadway after collection.
• Support fellow team members and serve as backup when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
