Job summary

CompostNow in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle the daily tasks of receiving, sorting, and cleaning containers with food scraps, and to prepare finished compost for delivery. The role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and being able to handle the odor and material surroundings.

Qualifications

• Warehouse associates must be physically active: able to be on your feet and work outside in all weather.
• Not squeamish: comfortable around food scraps, bugs, and decomposition smells.
• Takes direction well, detail oriented, team player, self-motivated, strong communicator.

Responsibilities

• Receive, empty, and sort containers filled with food scraps.
• Clean containers (soaping, washing, rinsing) and prep them for return to customers.
• Prepare finished compost (soil) for delivery to customers.
• Clean work vehicles and maintain a tidy work environment.
• Support operational updates and adopt new services as part of continuous improvement.
