Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Vegetation Program Lead to manage outdoor vegetation programs across diverse landscapes.

You will lead field teams, coordinate with utility partners, and shape sustainable right-of-way practices in line with safety and regulatory standards. The role emphasizes strong leadership, field operations, and the ability to solve complex problems while supporting nationwide growth and employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Degree or experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Leadership experience and familiarity with PG&E contractor work practices (preferred)
• Experience with emergency response or hazard tree removal (preferred)
• ISA Certified Arborist (preferred)
• Strong plant ID and invasive species knowledge
• Excellent communication and independent work skills
• Comfortable working in rugged terrain and varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Lead VM operations, contractor performance, project teams, and emergency response per safety regs.
• Solve moderate to highly complex problems; improve processes.
• Coordinate and support VM activities, including scheduling and progress monitoring.
• Clarify expectations for contractor employees with PG&E Representative.
• Assist with customer interactions, including complaints and access issues.
• Support agency meetings, field visits, and project management tasks.
• Perform database sleuthing to identify and resolve issues.
• Provide support to Vegetation Management Inspectors.
• Ensure on-site safety and report equipment/vehicle conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
