Job summary

ELM Utility Services is seeking Utility Locate Technicians in the Cleveland, Ohio area. You will locate and mark underground utilities to prevent damage during excavation, using marking paint, flags, and markers, and travel between sites in a company-provided vehicle.

Starting wages range from $23.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience. This DOT-safety sensitive role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug, MVR, and background checks required.
• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors with company vehicle, completing a route of locate requests daily.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• On-call rotation and overtime as needed, including possible nights and weekends.
