Job summary

USIC is hiring Locator to work outdoors in field conditions, locating and marking underground utilities with company-provided vehicle and tools. The role requires safety awareness and the ability to operate in variable weather. Training is provided, and advancement opportunities are available.

Weekends and on-call shifts may be required as part of the position. Starting pay ranges from $21.50 to $29.50 per hour, with higher rates for experienced locators.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
