Job summary

The Thrasher Group seeks a highly motivated Utility Infrastructure Improvement Field Technician to join our Bridgeport, WV office. If you thrive in a fast-paced outdoor environment and bring a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you.

You will perform surveys, measure pole clearances with specialized tools, collect data, and coordinate with property owners and team members. A high school diploma and at least one year of outdoor work experience are required; Katapult Pro experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of outdoor work experience.
• Knowledge of pole design including NESC requirements and safety practices is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Work in outdoor conditions year-round across residential, commercial, and industrial areas.
• Perform on-foot fieldwork, navigating varied terrain and carrying objects up to 20 pounds.
• Communicate effectively with property owners and internal/external stakeholders.
• Use data collection tools and measurement sticks to assess utility pole clearances.
• Collect field data and maintain accurate daily and weekly reports; travel as required.
