Job summary

SavATree is seeking a Ground Operations Specialist to join our General Tree Care team in Grand Rapids, MI. This hands-on, full-time role involves supporting pruning, removals, and cabling, while operating chainsaws and rigging gear to deliver top-tier tree and shrub care in residential and commercial settings.

You’ll collaborate with climbers and crew leaders, uphold safety standards, and help maintain a clean, efficient job site. CDL preferred; relocation opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• Experience pruning techniques for shade trees and ornamentals
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species
• Knowledge of tree care safety standards
• Familiarity with chainsaw operation and basic equipment use
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket trucks) is a plus
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; CDL preferred

Responsibilities

• Supporting pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other tree care services
• Operating chainsaws, chippers, ropes, and rigging equipment
• Assisting climbers and crew leaders on job sites
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Delivering exceptional service to clients across the Grand Rapids area
