Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a survey crew member to join our Blacksburg, VA Land Survey Team. You will work in a survey crew to map infrastructure such as roads, buildings and utilities using a wide array of equipment and technology, with on-the-job training provided.

Most duties are performed outdoors, 95% of the time, in varying environmental conditions. The role requires safety-first mindset and strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of combined surveying and mapping experience.
• Knowledge of cross-country pipeline surveying methods and electronic data collection.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Learn to use mapping equipment including robots, GPS receivers, data collectors, UAS/drones, Terrestrial LiDAR, ground penetrating radar, and vacuum excavation trucks.
• Work outdoors year-round in heat and cold.
• Work 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday - Friday.
• Prioritize safety in all tasks.
• Communicate effectively with team and clients.
• Be reliable and punctual.
