Job summary

Greenwich Botanical Center seeks enthusiastic Summer Forest Days Camp Counselors (ages 16+) to supervise campers, lead nature-based activities, and model safety and positive behavior on site in Greenwich, CT. Applicants should enjoy outdoor education, be able to walk trails, lift up to 30 pounds, and communicate with staff and campers.

CPR certification will be offered; background checks and required training for mandated reporters are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Outdoor supervision experience is desirable
• CPR certification preferred (offered in spring)
• Ability to walk trails, lift up to 30 pounds
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather; 18+ and background check may apply

Responsibilities

• Supervise campers during camp hours, lead activities, ensure safety, and model positive behavior.
• Set up and clean up supplies and light housekeeping around grounds/building.
• Understand and enforce camp rules and safety guidelines; monitor hazards and follow emergency procedures.
