Role is part-time to start with the potential for full-time for the right candidate. You will be responsible for performing services such as kayak repairs and car and truck roof rack installations in addition to selling products, merchandise, and services at our retail storefront, as well as online and over the phone. The ideal candidate should have a passion for outdoor activities and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Description

We are seeking a Retail Service Specialist to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for performing services such as kayak repairs and car and truck roof rack installations in addition to selling products, merchandise, and services at our retail storefront, as well as online and over the phone.

The successful candidate will need to be capable of providing exceptional customer service, generating sales, and helping customers find the right outdoor gear and apparel for their needs. The ideal candidate should have a passion for outdoor activities and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Role is part-time to start with the potential for full-time for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers and identifying customer needs
• Provide product information, advice, guidance, and recommendations to customers
• Understand and explain products and services
• Perform car and truck roof rack installations
• Conduct kayak repairs, maintenance and modifications
• Make deliveries using company vehicles
• Enter and process customer orders and sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Assist customers with loading purchases
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints
• Facilitate kayak, bike, and outdoor gear rentals
• Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
• Ability to move and transfer kayaks and gear, weighing up to 50 pounds
• Maintain a clean and orderly store including janitorial duties
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager and other management as needed
