Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Employment Website is seeking a Recreation Sports Turf Assistant to maintain turf and landscapes across City and East Campus in Lincoln, NE. You will handle mowing, irrigation, and light maintenance while supporting event setups and snow removal as required.

The role requires a High School diploma with at least one year of lawn/landscape experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus one year of lawn and landscape experience required; equivalency considered.
• Valid driver’s license and University driver eligibility requirements.
• Pre-Placement Driving Record Review Required Yes

Responsibilities

• Maintain Campus Recreation sports turf and landscape areas on City and East Campus.
• Install/tear out, weed and pest control, irrigation, chemical application, litter pickup, pruning.
• Operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, aerators, sprayers, utility vehicles; perform routine maintenance.
• Assist in snow removal on City and East Campus and Leadership Training Center.
• Support special event setup and teardown as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
